Imagery credit

The satellite style uses NASA’s Blue Marble: Next Generation colour map and its companion topography layer, produced by Reto Stöckli, NASA Earth Observatory, from MODIS data collected by the Terra satellite. The files are served from this site rather than a third-party CDN, so using them sends no request to another company.

NASA imagery is generally not copyrighted and may be reused freely; NASA does not endorse Atlas. The textures are resampled for real-time rendering and are not authoritative scientific data. Full terms accompany the files at /textures/NASA-IMAGERY.txt.
